Northwest Minzu University is located in Lanzhou, an important city for the "Belt and Road" initiative. It is the first institution of higher learning for nationalities established after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Affiliated to the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, it is a university jointly built by the National Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Education, and by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the People's Government of Gansu Province. It is identified as a high-level university construction unit in Gansu Province. The university was founded by the Communist Party of China in Yan'an in 1941 as the Institute for Nationalities, which was later merged into Yan'an University. In 1949, Yan'an University was renamed Northwest People's Revolutionary University. In August 1950, Northwest Institute for Nationalities was formally established on the basis of the third division of Northwest People's Revolutionary University Lanzhou Branch, and was renamed Northwest Minzu University in April 2003. In 2007, the university passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation initiated by the Ministry of Education with "excellent" results. After more than 70 years of development, the university has formed a spirit characterized by "Yellow Land" and "Yellow River" and centered on "unpretentious, willing to be poor, indifferent to fame and wealth, selfless dedication" and "aiming high, flowing, indomitable, courageous". It has trained more than 180,000 professionals of all kinds at all levels for the country.
Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and based on the new stage of development, the university implements the new development concept and integrates into the new development pattern. It remains true to the original aspiration of educating people for the Party and the country, and adheres to the orientations of serving the people, serving the governance of the Communist Party of China, serving the consolidation and development of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, and serving the reform, opening up and socialist modernization. The university takes consolidating the sense of community for the Chinese nation as its main line of work, fully implements the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people, and strives to build it into a strong position for upholding the leadership of the Party, a highland for cultivating builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, a model place for building a common spiritual home of the Chinese nation, and a characteristic think tank for serving the coordinated promotion of the four-pronged comprehensive strategy. It also strives to build itself into a modern high-level university.
The Dance Academy of Northwest Minzu University has two national first-class undergraduate majors, i.e., Dance Study and Dance Performance, as well as Choreography. It has master's degree programs in the provincial key discipline of Music and Dance and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Dance Arts. It also has a team of excellent teachers, including members of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, experts of the National Master's Degree Education Steering Committee, young teaching models of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, provincial excellent "Gardener Award" teachers, "the Fifth Young and Middle-aged Literary and Artistic Workers in Gansu Province", Provincial Bearers of Red Flag March 8, etc.

4. Cooperation needs, areas, and methods:
1. Carry out cooperation in resource sharing, such as exchange of students and summer camps;
2. Develop new models for sharing teacher resources. Such as: exchange of teachers, long-term (short-term) training courses;
3. Share course resources and make use of the new means of online teaching to create "a high-quality course";
4. Recommend excellent talents in the creation of dance works, and create dance works with us;
